Our last event for the year before the festive season really begins, we started off the first day of summer with a grey rainy day unfortunately, it didn’t dampen our spirits though. we took the back way up to Nurioopta via One Tree Hill, Williamstown and Lyndoch finishing at the Stein house at Nurioopta were we had a nice lunch together.
Whats a Cryptic cruise you ask? well all you know is where it starts then you need to follow the clues to reach your final destination. We were lucky have Suzanne and Jenni put this event together for the club as well as a well planned and executed event the weather was amazing. after several stops along the way which were not only to stop for clues but gave us a bit of a Holden history lesson with stops at the old Elizabeth,Birkenhead, Woodville and City Manufacturing plants. We ended up at the Euchunga Recreational grounds for a BBQ lunch. It was a great day had by all and I cant wait for the next one!
We celebrated our 2nd Anniversary (which actually falls in August) on Sunday the 20th October, the weather was fantastic all be it a bit windy which caused a bit of havoc with our gas bbq and nearly blew our marquee away!!! Overall a great day had by all.
The club attended a detailing night held at Absolute Perfection Detailing in Prospect, Enver and Denis were a wealth of knowledge, showing our members how to correctly and safely wash a car, they also showed us some different types of sealers/paint protection products and demonstrated the process involved with paint correction. These guys are a wealth of knowledge and are at the top of their game, the feedback from members on the night was that they learnt a lot and benefited from the night. If anyone requires any detailing from a simple car wash to a full paint correction with ceramic coating please gibe the guys at Absolute Perfection a call 0406 213 585 or hit them up on facebook https://www.facebook.com/absoluteperfectioncardetailing/
The HDT owners club invited us to their Brock memorial cruise again for a second year this year it fell on the 13th anniversary of the great Peter Brock’s passing. It was cold and wet but that didn’t dampen anybody’s spirit. Money was raised on the day from a raffle and auction with all proceeds going to support childhood cancer charities.
Welcome to our new look website, as the official HSV Owners Club of South Australia, we were asked by HSV to adopt their new corporate logo moving forward, we took things one step further and had our new website closely resemble the offical hsv.com.au site and have made it user friendly for all devices.
